Workshop overview

This is a very practical one-day social media marketing course to support entrepreneurs, business owners and marketing managers run effective marketing campaigns on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn.

The first hour (9 - 10am) is optional and is spent with Tim either optimizing your Facebook ads manager account or setting up your Facebook Business Manager account for the first time. From 10am, you’ll learn the latest trends and techniques for Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn and create best-practice advertising content. You’ll learn to build audiences and set up an advanced customer funnel using retargeting techniques with the Facebook Pixel, Custom Audiences and Lookalike Audiences.

This workshop is limited to 12 spots so Tim can work with each participant to develop a social media plan for their business and ensure you develop the skills and knowledge to implement immediately.

Workshop outcomes:

  • Setup and / or optimize your Facebook advertising account, install tracking tools including the Facebook Pixel on your website (optional first hour).
  • Learn different strategies to leverage each of the four key social networks including how to reach a professional audience on LinkedIn, engage micro-influencers on Instagram and generate targeted leads and conversions on Facebook.
  • Work with Tim to develop a social media strategy that achieves your business objectives and that you can implement with minimal effort.
  • Learn the most effective techniques to reach your target market, develop audiences, build customer funnels and retargeting campaigns.
  • Learn what content works and strategies to create effective content at low cost.
  • Setup systems for finding new content including user generated content (UGC) and identify ways to curate and repurpose existing content
  • Implement social media analytics tools to measure the ROI of campaigns, develop stakeholder reports, track competitor and influencer performance and find insights to help you to optimize your marketing over time.
  • Develop a monthly planning template and put in place repeatable practices that will enable you to grow your social media presence and reach customers with minimal effort.

Module 2: Social ROI Framework

  • Measurement framework for quantifying, measuring and optimising social media performance
  • Bringing earned social media to life through social media listening tool
  • Setting in place social analytics to benchmark and report on owned and paid performance

Module 3: Content & Community

  • Social media content creation, managing resources and producing great content
  • Content curation and repurposing existing content (user generated content)
  • Influencer marketing on social media: finding influencers, working with them and assessing performance
  • Community management and delivering great social customer service

Module 4: Facebook Ads Manager

  • Audience development – building Custom Audiences and Lookalike Audiences
  • Targeting the right audiences with the right content at the right time
  • Setting up ad campaigns and optimising your performance over time

Workshop logistics

This is a one-day workshop and is limited to twelve participants, enabling us to focus on your business. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions particular to their business objective by email in the week leading up to the course and Tim will personalise the content and exercises to address everyone’s goals. At the end of the course you will walk away with a clear plan that you will be able to implement immediately. BYO laptop. This workshop is held in an awesome boardroom in the Sydney CBD and runs from 9am - 4.30pm with short breaks. Lunch, morning and afternoon tea is provided.
